Wow! Look at all those that you can also play on the 360. Which is
lucky, because Sony's about to screw the pooch again.

    http://quote.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a94Jzuq9Ekdg

Oct. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Sony Corp., which slashed its profit forecast
yesterday, said it may not reach this year's shipment target for the
PlayStation 3 game console because of a parts shortage in the Blu-ray
    high-definition disc drive.

Sony plans to ship two million PlayStation 3 players this year to the
U.S. and Japan, and six million worldwide by March. The Tokyo-based
company said yesterday annual profit would fall 35 percent to its
lowest in five years on price cuts of the console in Japan and a recall
    of 9.6 million computer batteries.

``The honest answer is it's more of a target'' for PlayStation 3
shipments, Jack Tretton, co-chairman of Sony Computer Entertainment
America, said yesterday in an interview. ``Clearly we've had production
    issues.''

Ummm... aren't most of these already out for the 360?
  4. Re: Sony Releases Official Launch Game List, looks just like the the Xbox 360 library

Holy shit, only one exclsuive title at launch? That's pathetic!

Who in their right mind would spend $500-600 on ONE GAME?????

Wait until next year when you have:
    MEtal Gear Solid 4,
    Warhawk,
    Motostorm,
    Lair
    VF5,

OR buy a 360 NOW and enjoy MOST of those titles NOW, without having to
spend $100-200 more and queue in the cold dark november nights,
competing with a couple of million other people to get 400k units.

Then you can play Gears of War, Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter,
Project Gotham 3, Mass Effect, Biohazard, and many many more exclusive
titles before the end of the year!!!

  6. Thing is, if the PS3 had launched before the 360, it would have had a
relatively STRONG line up. However, since the 360 has 98% of those
games already or out at the same time, the PS3 suddenly looks like
extremely poor value as a gaming system. One exclusive game. That's it.

    The 360 launched with 3.
    PGR3,
    Perfect Dark Zero,
    Kameo: Elements of Power.

Resistance: Fall of Man <--- the only game worth getting a PS3.
Most of the other games I have already played or will be getting for the 360
since the userbase is larger thus having more people to play online against.

There's way more than one. Resistance, Genji, Full Auto 2, Gundam,
Riiiiiiiidge Racer 7, Untold Legends (it's SOE so it's most definitely
exclusive) and NBA 07 (also Sony first party and also exclusive). True
there's probably only one or two of those games that are really worth
owning, but still. It's not a bad launch line-up at all, *if* you don't
already own an Xbox 360. Otherwise I can't see spending $500-$600 (plus the
cost of the video cable) to play one or two games. Oh, and to watch
Talledega Nights in high def. I AM COMING FOR YUU REEKY BUBBY!

I don't think Biohazard is coming out this year and I know Mass Effect
    isn't.

You know it won't actually be true until they officially deny it at
    least once. :^)

"2 million units at launch and 2 million by the end of the year!"

"Actually it's 2 million by the end of the year."

"We didn't mean to say that, we still mean 2 million at launch and 2
million by the end of the year!"

"Sorry, we lied, it's 500,000 for launch and maybe another 500,000 by
    the end of the year."

Now it's looking like they burned all 15,000 production units for
    in-store kiosks. LOL.

Is NOT. Will be out for the 360 before the PS3 launch, but it isn't
out yet. EB has the 360 release date the end of October (actually Oct
    31st).

    > > Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire

A Gundam game is, but I don't believe it is the same title.

    > > Untold Legends Dark Kingdom

If you know next to nothing about it, how can you say it is not
exclusive? Untold Legends was/is a series of action RPGs that had been
just on the PSP. Dark Kingdom is an exclusive PS3 title. Care to show
    otherwise?

It's exclusive. It's the sequel to two PSP games. Untold Legends:
Brotherhood of the Blade and Untold Legends: Warriors Code. They are
top-down hack and slashers like Baldur's Gate or Champions of Norrath.

The first one was a PSP launch title and was actually really good (much
better than the review scores led you to believe.) The second game had
character designs that went to shit and they screwed up the formula by
giving people guns and crap. Terrible game, which oddly got much higher
    review scores than the original.

The PS3 version has been troubled because when Sony saw the fan
backlash over the 2nd PSP game they had the team go back through and
re-jigger the PS3 title. I have no idea what it's going to be like now.
